Cambridge Award for Zachariou Foreign Language School
It is with great pleasure that we announce that, once again this year, our school is among the select Foreign Language Centres honoured by the University of Cambridge at its annual Awards of Excellence ceremony.
This distinction is awarded to educational institutions that consistently prepare and enter a significant number of candidates for Cambridge English examinations while maintaining high standards in both teaching and curriculum design.
This award carries particular significance in today’s foreign-language education landscape, where we often encounter an abundance of qualifications of questionable value, insufficient preparation time, and limited curricula that fail to meet the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Consequently, some students obtain certificates that lack international recognition without having developed genuine language proficiency.
Cambridge qualifications, by contrast, are among the most widely recognised and highly respected English-language qualifications worldwide. They represent rigorous academic standards and provide a strong foundation for candidates’ future academic and professional success.
This approach is fully aligned with the educational philosophy of Zachariou Foreign Language School, which places emphasis on meaningful communication, critical thinking, and long-term achievement—not short-term memorisation.
